My major interests are in computational systems biology and understanding how traditional medicines interact with biological systems.
Relative to computational systems biology, I am supporting the continuted development of CytoSolve, the product of my Ph.D. research. CytoSolve is now available on the web for those interested on CytoSolve A great team has continued the work. I'm currently working to test an integrative model of Interferon (IFN) to virus infection on this new web-based version.
Since my return back from India, I am also working to build a Seminar course for the MIT Spring semester on traditional medicines and biological systems. This IAP will be used to test interest in this area. In early IAP a 2-day course will be offered in traditional medicines and systems biology. In the latter part of IAP (January 25 - January 29, 2010), a 5-day series in a symposium and performance format will be offered to explore the power of traditional arts/medicines on the human biological system.
